Thanx Rich, I am very happy to have discovered this site. I have been wanting to make a connection with people who are living full time, or most of the year, in their Airstreams (either on the road or stationary). This is what I plan to be doing as soon as I sell my house. Airstreams and the American West have been part of my dreams since I first saw an Airstream on the road in the 1950s. It's taken awhile, but the mutt and I hope to be traveling Out West soon.
Rich, got a remark from a spamer. I forgot I had replied in the past and checked in to find all the way cool stuff. Am in the Florida Keys with by boat Miss Jerry doing the boy scout thing. But come Sept. back up to top of Georgia and some cool mountian weather. Will check in and see where you will be later. If not know will see you again in Feb. in Sarasota. Gerald
Hey rich,
We've successfully returned home from about a total of 30,000 miles. Thanks for your inspiration and advice. I need help with one more thing... When we are pluged in to shore power it doesn't seem our batteries are chrging. The lights dim a little when the fan is turned on. The batteries don't fully charge even after a 500 mile drive. The cable from my tow vehcle was severed and I was careful to make good reconnections. Does it sound like inverter issues or my connections? Thanks
Frank
Yes, our website is down right now because we didn't pay our bill! haha Actually, the credit card that paid it expired and I'm switching cards, but too lazy to do it. It will be back up this week though.
Hey Rich, Thanks for stopping by my site. Any suggestions on how I should route myself from the Panhandle of Fl. to visit N.Y. State? I want to make the most out of my trip and I travel with my two Great Pyrenees dogs and my buddy Rick?
Hi Rich... I am planning my first trip with the airstream. Start in Florida head to Denver then San Diego and back to Florida. Taking my 85 year young dad and our 3 small dogs. Dad wants to see the real west! any ideas on the best ways and places to stay away from? AAA has recommended we stay on state roads as much as possible. Should I make reservations at RV parks? any other ideas would be most appreciated. Tess
Rich, I hope your Florida leg of this trip allows for meeting of new friends. Keep us posted on where you might land in FL. You are a great inspiration. SAFE TRAVELS . . .
